What Brightness Is Appropriate for Indoor LED Displays
A common understanding is that the brightness of an LED display determines its visual effect. For indoor LED displays, how should we choose the brightness? We should customize it scientifically and reasonably based on the on‑site environment.

Below is Milestrong’s recommended indoor LED display brightness selection (based on comparison under the same environment):
1. Classrooms, Offices
These environments generally have natural and good lighting conditions. We usually choose a brightness of 1000 nits – 1500 nits. This can effectively counteract outdoor natural light and deliver good display performance.
2. Indoor Gymnasiums, Indoor Shopping Malls, Exhibition Halls
Lighting in these places mainly comes from artificial sources, but such light tends to be harsh. The recommended LED display brightness is 1500 nits – 3000 nits.
3. Outdoor Environments
It is advisable to choose LED displays with adjustable brightness so they can adapt to changes in ambient light caused by sunny or cloudy conditions.
Why choose brightness according to different environments? Because appropriate brightness can effectively improve the viewing experience, faithfully reproduce colors, and reduce visual fatigue. Note that the higher the brightness, the higher the power consumption will also be.
